Using traditional textile techniques I explore suspension through the line and rhythm of the stitch, providing a harmonious link between tradition and innovation.
Visual artist; trained originally in textile design I have more recently concentrated on painting and printmaking. My starting point is often life drawing, using the landscape of the human body & soul to produce both figurative & abstract work.
David LADDS
I am fascinated by the effects of the elements on how a painting evolves. The sun, wind, rain, the location even; they all enforce their own limits and working within their influence challenges the whole creative process.

Rick SANDERSON
Paintings and some Giclee prints. The dance of figure, ground and the story of now. Sourced from travels in India and Asia, closer to home in the South West and at the races around the west country.
I am a woodturner but more recently I have been exploring making model figures and simple automata. Most of the figures have woodturned components but I am combining the use of other materials and also painting with inks and acrylics. I have had many extended stays in India. Some of the inspiration for my work comes from my love of decorative Indian art and toys.
Antonella SCARPA-ISLES
Italian born painter, working in mixed media. the landscape is her main inspiration and source of imagery: trees, water and reflections are a constant element and subject of her paintings and monoprints, whether observed during walks or experienced on trips abroad
Cathy WELSH
Digital Printed textiles and interiors
My imagery is primarily concerned with people and places, capturing the transitory nature of people living, working, visiting, playing and moving in a given space. Original, lively, spontaneous drawings and paintings, using different mediums, are the foundation of my work. The images are developed in photo-shop. The honey and mossy muted tones of Bath are the colour inspiration for this collection, with a repeat rose motif adding a splash of colour to the more subdued palette.
The prints exist collectively as an installation onto sheer fabrics thus creating a layered effect. I also develop the large drops as one off feature wallcoverings and repeat print designs.
